Louise and Ramzi’s Lake District Wedding was a day full of emotion, fun, and endless laughter. It was so lovely to see such a great couple that were so comfortable to openly show how much they love each other! The wedding took place in Grasmere at the beautiful Daffodil Hotel, but unfortunately it did rain all day! Luckily the hotel has plenty of indoor space with large windows to admire the gorgeous views, and we still managed to go outside with umbrellas and wellies to shoot some fun images.
Before the wedding ceremony
Louise and her bridesmaids really enjoyed getting ready in the hotel, drinking some prosecco whilst they had their hair and make up professionally done. Bridal prep is one of my favourite times of the day as it contains many different moments from being calm, nervous, and having a laugh too. The weather didn’t impact everyone’s positivity, and Louise had her wellies cleaned and ready in the shower.
Whilst I was photographing Louise and her bridesmaids, Jenna was creating photos of Ramzi and the guys. Ramzi was so excited, he had eaten early and had been ready for quite some time when she arrived. He has the best smile, and was truly giddy with excitement. Speech well prepared, all there was left to do was to try to figure out the correct way to fold each other’s pocket squares!
The Wedding ceremony
The staff were fantastic and although they were unable to have an outside ceremony the beautiful ivory room with ceiling to floor windows allowed such a gorgeous backdrop of the lake and outdoor scenery. Everyone entered as one of the band members played beautiful music on the piano. The ceremony was truly special as both Louise and Ramzi had written their own vows. This really added a lot of personality to the ceremony and increased the display of emotions by the bride, groom, and all the guests too. The ceremony was filled with tears and laughter and two special readings from their siblings. It was definitely a family affair of love all around!
After the ceremony
After the wedding ceremony, everyone had the chance to congratulate the newlyweds, catch up with other guests, and have some fun! There was live musical entertainment from start to finish, plenty of canapes and drink to make sure everyone was feeling refreshed.
After a quick portrait in the Grasmere rain the wellies came off and everyone then had chance to enjoy the speeches, laugh some more, and fill their bellies with as much food as they could eat.
Dancing at the wedding
In the evening Louise and Ramzi enjoyed their first dance as Mr & Mrs, followed by a beautiful father & daughter dance. A good number of guests joined the happy couple on the dancefloor, which I always hope will happen so I can photograph all the moves and fun facial expressions that take place.
