Anthony and Emma’s wedding was held at the Athenaeum which is located in the centre of Liverpool. The Athenaeum is a private members club with phenomenal Liverpool history and it’s definitely worth looking at their website to read their story.
The day started as Emma prepared for her wedding day at her parents’ home in Formby. It was great to capture the morning as it unfolded and to watch Emma’s dad complete all the planned and unplanned errands that were passed his way 🙂
Anthony was waiting patiently at St Michael and All Angels church in Altcar for Emma to arrive and make him a very happy and lucky man. It was lovely to see Anthony’s first-look and reaction as his bride and wife-to-be walked down the aisle towards him.
After the wedding ceremony Emma was surprised by two owls that her Mum had arranged for her! Emma loves owls and this was an awesome surprise for her and a unique situation to experience on a wedding day. It was a well kept secret which made it a great surprise for Anthony and all the guests too.
After the ceremony and looking at the owl, the guests ventured aboard the coaches to head down to Liverpool. The wedding breakfast was held at the beautiful and grand Athenaeum in the city centre. The Athenaeum is a great wedding venue as you can feel the tradition and history as you enter the building. I am sure that everyone appreciates the chance to enter a venue with such character, and perhaps going somewhere they may never get the chance to visit again.
