Sarah and Chris had a beautiful and relaxed day that included a BBQ wedding breakfast at Formby Hall golf club. Sarah and Chris have been together for many years and daughter Sophie was especially excited for their wedding day. Sarah and Chris planned the timings for the day really well; The wedding ceremony was a little later in the day and therefore the guests weren’t hanging around with little or nothing to do.

I arrived at Formby Hall in the afternoon to document the girls getting ready, having fun, and enjoying the great view of the golf course. Bride Sarah was really relaxed and was working on her bridesmaids’ and daughter’s hair before she had her own hair and make up done. Daughter Sophie was simply superb throughout the day, helped where she could, and didn’t distract from all the other elements taking place.

Wedding ceremony

The wedding ceremony was an exciting and lovely time that included a reading from Daughter Sophie which was loud, clear, and spoken confidently in front of all the guests. It was clear to see the love between Chris and Sarah as they stood in front of all their wedding guests to declare their love and companionship forever.

After the ceremony, it was a great chance to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air in the grounds of Formby Hall. After the guests had a chance to hug and congratulate the newlyweds, some of the speeches took place. As you can see by the photographs everyone enjoyed the speeches and had plenty to laugh at (usually at the expense of the happy couple).

With it being a later ceremony Sarah and Chris decided to have a BBQ which worked really well, complimented the time of year and their relaxed approach. After the BBQ food was eaten up it was time to enjoy the photo booth, dance to the live music, and of course keep drinking 😊

Chris and Sarah’s Formby Hall Wedding was great fun and I enjoyed being their documentary wedding photographer.
