Ben & Sarah’s luxurious Gilpin Lake House Wedding in Windermere was a wonderful celebration. I was so happy they had chosen me to be their Documentary Wedding Photographer for the day. Thomas and his colleagues at the Gilpin Lake House were amazing throughout the day and made the day run effortlessly and I can see why they host so many weddings.
Ben & Sarah chose an early ceremony at twelve to take advantage of the venue and beautiful day. They decided to have their friends and family spend the day with them to experience everything to the fullest. The junior guests were by far the best mannered and most pleasant children I have seen, a true credit to their parents. A lovely ceremony, cheerful guests, two well trained Dogs, and helpful staff on hand made for a great day all around.
Windermere and the Wedding Magician
The weather in Windermere can be temperamental but Ben & Sarah were lucky to have a great day to hand for such a nice wedding ceremony and reception. This was perfect as they hired Sunshine Events UK to bring fun and games by way of indoor scalextrics and outdoor on the balcony they had giant Jenga, Kerplunk and in the garden were Blue Space Hoppers. My favourite entertainment of the day would definitely have to be the Magician, James Anthony. He was fantastic and really got the guests laughing. Card tricks all around followed by some great hypnosis. Sarah’s sister truly believed she could not put her arm down and another female guest was unable to get out of her chair!
One last quirky twist was an unconventional wedding cake, as they chose a multi-tiered pork pie for the guests and cutting ceremony. The day ended with lots of drinks, laughter and well wishes to the newly married Mr & Mrs Smith
Thank you Ben & Sarah for choosing me to photograph your Gilpin Lake House Wedding. Here is a selection of images from the day:
