Lake District Wedding Photographer

Lake district wedding photographer

As a Lake District Wedding Photographer, I am lucky to enjoy one of the most beautiful locations in the UK to get married. The Lake District is the perfect place for a romantic wedding ceremony, with plenty of choice for rustic, historic, and characterful venues and views of nature. My style of wedding photography compliments the natural and relaxed atmosphere of the Lake District as I focus on storytelling with my camera, and let you and your guests enjoy your wedding day like I’m not there. I have created a few different wedding photography packages to make the selection easier, and it all starts with a full day of photography from when you’re getting ready, until your first dance as husband and wife. I also include a photobook of your wedding photographs as I believe that everyone should have prints of their wedding day and not leave the digital files hiding on a computer or mobile phone.

After your wedding day, I will carefully edit your photographs and then upload them to a private online gallery for you to enjoy and then share with your friends and family. This can take up to five weeks, but it’s definitely worth the wait as you re-live your wedding day over and over again through the real moments that I have captured for you with my cameras.

Lake District Weddings

Is there any better place? I love the Lake District and often visit there to take images of the beautiful landscape. From Coniston Water to Bassenthwaite Lake in the north, there are literally hundreds of places to hold a wedding. You might be looking to go all traditional with a church wedding at a place like St Mary’s on the edge of Windermere or you could book into one of the many hotel and spas like Armathwaite Hall Hotel for a civil ceremony.

My documentary wedding photography approach involves blending into the background and looking for the brilliant images that say everything about your big day. I can start with the journey to the wedding venue or the preparations for the ceremony, the reception and speeches as well as the festivities afterwards. And, most certainly, I can take those traditional group photos that are a hallmark of wedding photos across the world.

Documentary Lake District Wedding Photography

If you feel yourself getting awkward when you stand in front of a camera, you’re not alone. The traditional wedding photography such as group images at weddings can seem stilted and too posed. Documentary wedding photography means I can spot those unguarded moments and produce elegant and expressive images that will say a lot more about your Lake District wedding.

Before your wedding, we will have discussed everything and have a general plan of how your day will progress. On the day I will be as unobtrusive as possible and keep my eye open for the many great photo opportunities as you celebrate and enjoy your wedding day.

My aim is to bring your wedding to life in photographic form, capturing those brilliant candid and fun moments. A Lake District wedding photographer isn’t hard to find, but one that records the true essence of your celebration and who can create brilliant and elegant memories that last a lifetime is. Check out my portfolio to see how I can photograph the emotion and excitement of your wedding day and then contact me to find out more.
