Natalie and Dave’s Preston Marriott Wedding was a fun day with jokes, some nerves, plenty of love, and friendly faces. The wedding started with Bride Natalie, the bridal party, and the unforgettable father of the bride! There was plenty of fun going with the girls and Dad was trying to wind them up at every opportunity. Natalie was very relaxed, was eating some brioche, and enjoying getting ready. When it was time for Natalie to put on her wedding dress, the wedding nerves truly kicked in! You can see in the photograph that shows Natalie coming down the stairs that her breathing is slow and heavy, as she tries to keep herself calm.
When I got to the church Dave was waiting and looking rather nervous too! The church in Fulwood, Preston has an amazing interior that I would describe as very modern within a traditional structure. The ceremony consisted of multiple readings from family and friends, which added personal touches to the proceedings.
The Wedding Venue
The Preston Marriott feels like a secluded classic hotel that is set back from the busy roads that lead up to it. There is a huge lawn that is surrounded by large trees which made an excellent location for the guests to enjoy a few drinks and canapes, whilst catching up with friends and family. The hotel’s Broughton Suite is a function room and bar area that was exclusive to the newlyweds, and it was useful for later in the day after the sunshine decided to leave us. The staff at the Preston Marriott were superb and provided great customer service to the wedding guests.
David and Natalie planned some awesome outdoor mini golf from Lancashire Crazy Golf and unfortunately, just as the golf course was setup, it started to rain at the Preston Marriott. Lancashire Crazy Golf were excellent and worked hard in the rain to bring some of the golf course inside the Broughton Suite to enable the wedding guests the chance to have a go.
Documentary Wedding Photography in Preston
My approach to documentary wedding photography in Preston is to let the bride, groom, and all the wedding guests feel relaxed around me; and to discreetly photograph the activity and moments. The best way to allow your guests to celebrate and enjoy a wedding day is for the wedding photographer to leave them to have fun. Therefore, documentary wedding photography style is a perfect match for a wedding day.
